The PETROLATUM EMULSION DRESSING ADAPTIC CELLULOSE ACETATE 3INX3IN NON-ADHESIVE STERILE is designed as a primary wound contact layer that protects the wound while promoting optimal healing. Made from knitted cellulose acetate with a woven mesh structure, the dressing is impregnated with a petrolatum emulsion, which facilitates painless removal during dressing changes. 

This dressing can be used under compression, allowing integration with bandages or wraps without sticking or causing friction. The dressing is cuttable, enabling precise sizing to match the wound area and maintain coverage over irregular surfaces. Its square shape and 3-inch width ensure uniform protection, while the 3-inch length accommodates a variety of wound sizes in clinical practice.

Adaptic dressings are appropriate for a wide range of wound types, from dry to highly exuding. Indications include first- and second-degree burns, lacerations, abrasions, skin grafts, venous and decubitus ulcers, nail extractions, eczema, surgical incisions, staples, suture lines, and reconstruction procedures. The petrolatum emulsion keeps the wound moist, supporting epithelialization and reducing the risk of secondary trauma during dressing removal.
